Mel had 12 in the win over Roxbury Latin, not a very good team.

Mel had 14 and 8 in a 73-58 win over St. Andrew's. A big win for SM. Mel was in foul trouble in the first half but had a big second half puntuated with a ridiculous alley oop finish. Also Nate Lubick fouled out so Mel and Alex Murphy really stemmed the tide for the last 10 minutes.

wow that kid Miller is a BEAST. Mel looked good out there. Looks like you guys really missed out on winning that in regulation with the missed layup by Murphy i think? surprised a foul wasnt called... of course they let a LOT fly when the game is on the line like that.

THM- where's the crowd on that video feed? It looks like a Canisius or St.Peters home game. Tell Mel not to worry- we'll be filling the arena when he comes to town to play.

thats how a lot of high school tournaments are. St Marks traveled all the way to Atlanta for that.

Miller is a very good player, can really score. Lubick missed the layup. At the end of regulation we bear hugged Miller in the lane so he couldn't get a shot up, so no way they were calling a foul on that layup, he should have made.

Burdine went for 18 pts and 7 rebounds and 6-6 from the FT line in an 85-51 win over Exeter. The win clinched a playoff spot for Reading and eliminated Exeter from playoff contention.

I noticed Poole hasn't played in his last 3-4 games for Paul VI (or at least he hasn't scored). Anyone know his status?

I saw him.. We had to wait after the game is over for the gym to clear, so essentially we just stayed at our seats. Then I noticed Coach Francis talking to someone and Mrs McCaffery coming over and engaging the young man as well. I got a look at his face and recognized him. He's big and I'm not talking just height for a SR in high school. I'm impressed.

Poole injured his right hand and is not expected to t=return until late February or the beginnnig of March. The injury is not season-ending.

Mel had 10 and 15 versus Winchedon tonight. Again for comparison they have Markus Kennedy (Villanova), Eric Ferguson (top 100 senior), Khem Birch (top 20 in 2012) and Marvin Dominque (Hofstra). SM won by 2 at the buzzer, on a shot that was late.

Great effort on the glass for Mel.

Wow impressive, that's a pretty loaded team. Did Mel go over and try to recruit Birch after the game for us? Supposedly Providence and Siena were his favs last I heard. A future teammate would've have gone great with a double double.

From scout.

Melsahn Basabe, PF, St. Mark’s – While Nate Lubick and Alex Murphy were racking up the points for St. Mark’s, Basabe, a future player at Siena, was corralling rebounds. The 6-foot-7 hard working big man finished with 15 rebounds to go with his 10 points. Basabe should be a nice player for Siena, as he works hard,
